All-On-Four implants are strategically placed in the top and bottom of your mouth. With All-On-Four, implants are not needed for each tooth, making this an easy process. Implants are permanent and reliable, and are built to last for years. Dental implants fuse to the bone as they heal, making them extremely stable. In most cases implants can withstand more pressure than our natural teeth.
Who is a Good Candidate for All-On-Four Dental Implants?
All patients can be considered for All-On-Four implants, but the best candidates are patients that are missing all or most of the teeth along the dental ridge. To ensure the implants are a success patients must have enough gum tissue and jaw structure to support the dental implants. Bone grafting can be considered if additional tissue is needed to support the implants. This option is great for patients that want a quick restoration solution. All-On-Four implants restore a patient’s smile, overall mouth function, and look like our natural teeth.
Healing is quicker with All-On-Four implants compared to other options, but still takes a few months as the implants fuse to the jawbone. An all-liquid diet is typically recommended during the healing process. Patients can slowly incorporate soft foods into their diet to keep chewing to a minimum. As you move through the healing process you can begin to eat normal foods. We do require patients come back to our office for periodic follow up visits. This allows our doctor to ensure the implants are healing properly, and feel comfortable.
